Hey!

I wonder how much i can change on my Tahoe 2008.
Coming from BMW X5 i am used to being able to change a lot of settings using a cheap OBD reader and my phone.

Howabout with the Tahoe?
first of all i would like to shut of the autolock feature. I dont want the car to lock at all :) not even when driving.. I want to choose when the doors lock.. =) =)
is there a hidden menu somewhere.. probably not,, i think options of changing stuff is really small.

IS there some type of schedule of what options you can do by yourself? With an OBD? or something else?

On my 07 Yukon, the factory options for auto locking doors does not contain an option for 'no' auto locking of doors. I did see in the BCM firmware updates, there was one update that allowed for non-auto-locking of doors, but I also saw that the next firmware update reinstated the auto-locking of doors.

Do some research on a Tech 2, as, IMO, that tool would be your best option for making changes to factory settings.

Auto door locks are like the TPMS- they're a government mandated safety item. They can be changed but not disabled. The factory control options allow you to have them respond to the gear it's in and/or the vehicle speed.

But, there's a company that can custom program the BCM: https://www.btdieselworks.com/colle...ing/products/bt-dieselworks-custom-bcm-tuning

Ask @Rocket Man for details.

I was just poking around Tis2Web and saw an option to turn them off (by customer request) via programming with the Tech-2. Locking was highlighted in red and under that the calibration is 25963251. You never know what you'll find in some places! @emanymton

Cool! So, is the Tis2Web thing how you set up the programming to be done through the Tech2?

Is it to completely disable them- locking and unlocking? I could see totally disabling the auto unlock being an option, like for PPVs. But, would Big Brother allow a loophole for disabling auto locking?

TIS2WEB is where you can look around and see what's available without having the Tech-2 connected to the PC and TDS.

The description said something about... well, let me see if I can find it and copy it... Here it is:

"(Per Customer Request Only) Auto door locking off; Option no longer in DIC."

James, I cannot tell you how much I cannot wait for my Tech2 to get here and get online with TIS2WEB service. I am excited to try to enable the po-po delete items from my SSV. :chewie:
