Technology Package on hold??

My dealer supposedly ordered a Denali with the Premium Package, Illumination Package, and the Retractable Center Console.

A couple of weeks later, my salesman called and informed me that I would have to give up the Advanced Technology Package to proceed with my order. Has anyone else been told this?

Also, when the dealer enters your vehicle order, are they provided an order number that they can give you to check on the progress of your vehicle order via live chat?

Mine was canceled 2 weeks, no luxury package. Had to search for one, got lucky and a dealer called me back with exactly what I wanted in transit, my exact order except summit white instead of pearl.

Yes tech package is on constraint for sometime now, I was in the same boat and decided to look for whats on the lot and found one 200 miles away and bought it. Good luck!

My dealer is allowing GMS pricing so I would like to stick with them. Congrats on your find!

Many dealers are honoring GM special pricing like GMS, supplier etc. mostly dealerships in non metro areas. Call them and ask, dealer I bought from accepted supplier for me.

They have since revoked special pricing. I think supplier remains but that’s harder to come by.

I ordered with supplier pricing as well, but should that go away when delivery comes, that OTD price goes away along with it.

I ordered a premium package Denali with sliding console, back in April. Still in preliminary, was never called or told about premium packages not being built. They’re just on constraint. They’re being built, but probably why we must wait a bit longer. =\

In GM lingo, constraints means an option that won't get built currently. So you may end up waiting quite some time for yours to get scheduled for production.

Have you tried the GMC inventory portal? Just do your build and then it shows the nearby inventory matching it. Call those dealers if are still available and make a deal.

I’ve found 4 dealers in my area that have the vehicle I want in stock… none would honor GMS, two of them marked up price above MSRP.

Oh I have. I have only found that one I placed an order with that would do supplier pricing. I don’t even have a supplier code- but I qualify for educator and college student (yet those were taken away), so they were kind enough to do supplier.


Today I checked inventory of another gmc closer to me. They said they honor GM pricing. I was shocked! So I’m hoping this isn’t a too good to be true situation here. Lol.

they have my 2nd choice color in transit, they’re going to check to see if it’s a sold unit or not. But no sliding center console. I guess if it has everything else, that’s fine.

I told them even if they get another shipment in a couple months from now and has what I’m looking for, I can wait if the units coming now are sold. I’m on week 6 and I’m preliminary still, so I’m hoping that if one does t work out, the other will come through before the 2022 model year.
