Hello, I'm new to this forum and I'm looking for some info.

I'm getting ready to sell my 97 Yukon GT, it has 145k miles and is in good condition. Any idea what the price range is for these trucks?

Thanks

Pictures would help, but check eBay for active bids to get an idea - particularly 92-94 Blazer and 95-99 Tahoe with the sport package since they’re more common than the Yukon GT. Also check www.bringatrailer.com as I think I’ve seen some on there as well.

Best guess with good paint, no rust, intact dash and no major issues would be around $8k if you’re patient. $10k if you’re lucky, $6k if you’re in a hurry. Torn leather seats are a given, but if they’re completely trashed I would consider replacing the covers. They’re around $100/cushion for a cheap set, $200/each for better ones.

Not Kelly blue book, in other words. A junker mudded-out two door will bring 3 or 4 all day long down here (Mississippi).

Looks like it’d be on the higher end. Has the lower intake manifold gasket set been replaced? Too bad the GT stickers are gone, some may prefer the originality of that.

A quick search found this, it looks like he sold one with 190k miles for $8-ish.

https://www.guyswithrides.com/2020/10/13/1997-gmc-yukon-gt/

And then a higher end with half the miles...

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1994-gmc-yukon-gt-2dr-4x4/

And a few Tahoes that are similar, though the ones with the Sport package would be more comparable to the Yukon GT...

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1996-chevrolet-tahoe-2-door-z71/

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1995-chevrolet-tahoe-8/

https://bringatrailer.com/2018/05/02/sharp-stocker-1996-chevrolet-tahoe-sport-two-door/

And then a dealer who’s probably overzealous...

https://www.allcollectorcars.com/for-sale/1996-GMC-Yukon-SLT-2dr-4WD-SUV/2432333/

If it were mine, I’d list it first on a more specialized platform (eBay, bring a trailer, etc.) than fooling with a local listing. That would likely attract people more willing to spend money.

Good luck!

Nice looking truck. Are you sure it's an original GT?

Yep, I'm 100% sure...I've owned it since 1999, it only a few thousand miles on it when I bought it. I pulled off the decal myself back in 2004 or 2005, not sure what I was thinking. I‘ve got an old photo with the GT decal. I also have the dealer window sticker and every maintenance record.

GM part number was 15696840. If you found some really cheap they could probably be tossed in with the sale.

I doubt it would be a “make or break” kind of thing since you have the papers.

Holy cow you must have a good reason for parting with it. I've had my '95 since 2000...it's my first long-term girlfriend.

Very tidy,great looking interior!
What's the grill? No front photo.
Think maybe mine is a Tahoe grill but not sure as/was imported from Japan prior.
Cheers

Sent you a DM. I'm in the market for a 2 door Tahoe/Yukon. Let me know when you're ready to sell?
