Alright this thing Is finally fixed!! I hope....

My buddy hit me up after I posted on Facebook that I was in need of a passenger side axle tube and actuator assembly. Luckily his 07 came with a spare 4.10 front axle. He offered it for free Just had to drive a couple hours to pick it up! :)

Of course while swapping this I ended up breaking my 4wd actuator ugh so there was an unexpected 70 bucks but I guess if I’m in there I might as well make sure everything is new and not worn out. Found some nice presents on the drain plug and found the culprit to my 4wd problem one I got the passenger tube removed

Everything inside was a little chewed up/locked up. But got everything done, and everything seems to be working again so far.

Of course the rtv I used for the tube to diff connection was the only stuff I had which is correct but it’s 24hr set time.
Forgot to take a picture but got the rear diff oil changed out with some Mobil 1 75w-90
Transfer case oil changed with ac delco auto trak 2
Once the front diff sets up a little more I’ll get it filled with 80w-90 and back on the ground for a test drive.

Honestly a very easy swap though and didn’t even have to pull the cv shaft out or remove a wheel. 3AA6E54F-F0DF-4EF6-A263-B3FA7E5CE7D8.jpeg

Almost forgot last week I decided to put a new tensioner on the front that matched the newness of the water pump lol couldn’t resist even if mine worked great before it was too dirty and used looking. :bleh:

Almost got myself some ppv wheels....well I did get some PPV wheels, but I ended up getting them for my buddy instead cause I don’t need them for 1 and 2 I don’t want to cut my lower ball joint stud to fit them. 40 bucks though it was well worth it regardless. Old dude took them off his nnbs the day he bought it and they sat in his garage under a bench until he sold them to me.

You have 4.10's? The 07 diff fit your 02?

just used the passenger axle tube and actuator assembly. Still have the 4.10 front diff sitting there I have no use for it I’ll try to find a buddy with 4.10s and let him have it or something lol. Mine is 3.73. His is a nbs 07 and everything looked the same. The tube/fork assembly was slightly different but not enough to cause issue. Just looked like it was slightly updated shaping of the actuator fork

Why does the lower ball joint stud need trimming for those PPV wheels?

just because of the 2” drop spindles putting it that much lower. If you use drop spindles with 4wd you have to cut like a 1/2” off the upper ball joint stud to clear the cv boot also. This is uncut on mine currently and not a lot of space with 20’s even

Replaced my Water Pump years ago. Never even thought to buy a AC Delco water pump. I looked them up really not that much more. Good you got all that done before winter.

Yeah I’m happy too and it really wasn’t bad price wise to go oem. I have had bad experiences with aftermarket water pumps and thermostats so I just don’t risk it anymore. Noticed my intake temps are staying down a lot better and my coolant temp isn’t fluctuating like crazy.

it used to fluctuate between 188° and 212° before the fans kicked on to cool it down again while parked idling. I used to see my intake temps hit all the way up to about 120° while in drive throughs or at shows. Now I haven’t seen them go above 80° so far no matter how long I’m sitting idling. So maybe the temperature fluctuation was just messing with under hood temps a lot.

Also finally got a gates green stripe serpentine. Had to order a 8 rib to get the right length but a razor knife took care of cutting the 2 extra ribs off really quick.

My ocd never fails to come at me full force. In the previous posts if you look at the corner lights they have a amber-bronze hue from the reflection of the leds. Always bothers the shit out of me so I got an idea and we shall see how it works out. Got some of this plasti dip style light tint and sprayed the bulbs. Unfortunately they gave the bulbs more of a blue hue but I might just leave that sacrifice since they look a lot better while off since I don’t have a dumb bronze reflection. They also dimmed down the annoyingly bright bulbs

btw the driver side has a different set of switchbacks installed in this picture that are more of a 6k warm white.

Also about a month ago my driver side fog light decided it wanted to change a shade of white on me and again bothered the **** out of me. That’s the one I opened up to fix the shield so I’m wondering if maybe something with oxygen hitting the led or maybe the activator spray from the ca glue or idk something caused it to react and change the hue slightly. Took a note from @05Single with the yellow lamin x film and got them covered last night so they match now at least.

I had bought a new tensioner and idler myself but mainly because its cheap insurance and easy to install.

Swapped these auxito bulbs into the lady’s tc the other night and decided I wanted the same thing on the Tahoe since my 4 year old Walmart bulbs weren’t as bright. Honestly surprised those lasted as long as they did though though haha. Not that I really needed brighter reverse lights with my pods but eh why not doesn’t hurt.

I might just be dumb but I never knew that 92-04 3rd brake lights are all on the same on the barn doors. Mine has not worked for 2 years now. Once I figured out that I ordered a new one finally went with a black one and it looks so much better plus it actually works now
