Bought the Volant 15954D cold air intake and installed yesterday. Very smooth and excellent fit. Better throttle response and much cleaner look under the hood without that giant plastic box attached to throttle body

How is GM with warranty coverage when adding aftermarket parts like this? I’m coming from a long history of German SUV ownership and they can be bastards when it comes to warranty claims when anything aftermarket is installed.

My understanding is if you install the one from the Chevy accessories site it does not affect the warranty, thinking about buying it myself.

From the website- "50-state emissions compliant (CARB Certified) and will NOT void the New Vehicle Limited Warranty. "

Looks good. Did you have to have it tuned as you do for the GM Performance kit? It is my understanding that the GM Performance kit will throw a service code tell you do.
The instructions say to pull the negative battery cable during install to reset adaptives on air flow. I did and haven't thrown any codes at all. Maybe when Diablo or another puts out a tuner, I can drop a canned tune on it as well.

Does it actually pull in cold air or is it basically a less restrictive filter / snorkel? Thinking about this one and really close on the 6.2 performance exhaust (if it only didn't cost so much!)
