There was one dealer who'd use atf on hazy headlights. Cleared it up some--til it rained a few times.

He would have been better off using insect repellant with DEET. That works pretty well.

Yep, the whole car. The rip-u-off guys would wash the car with dish soap, wipe down with tranny fluid, wait 24 hours and then wax it. It would last about 2 months before it looked bad again, sooner if you got a lot of rain. There are some ****** ball mobile detailers still doing it.

I think it was an ELM327 scan tool that worked through Bluetooth that plugged into the obd port.

It's official, Tony, you're not alone. My injector hydro locked cylinder 8 and broke the rod so looks like we're both going to be building motors.

That ain't no friend, that's what we in my area call "an alameda mechanic". I'm sure you all have something like that , it's one of our main streets in El Paso that's just full of car lots and scam shops.
