Originally had an 03 Yukon SLT that was fantastic. 5.3 motor. Minor issues.

Then moved to an 07 Tahoe - ran it till 155 miles, minor issues. Great truck.

Spent a few years in a Sierra Denali (too long - prefer the SUV)

Now buying a 2016 Yukon SLT with the HD towing and the 5.3.

I know about the a/c issues and the trans shudder (my Sierra had the 8 speed which I did not like).

Anything else to be ready for?

Thanks.

Welcome from Miami Beach Rich!

Sounds like you got it covered already.

With that said I have 94K miles on my 2016 5.3 Tahoe LT and so far just a a/c Condenser. The rest is plain old regular maintenance every 5K miles. Knock on wood.

Thanks all. Much appreciated. The dealer said the condenser has not been replaced yet. Im wondering if they can replace it ahead of it failing since there is a TSB. Not sure they will fix what's technically not broken.

I am very excited about the truck since it is a rarer color (crimson red tint coat) and is a SLT premium edition. I did not want the Denali since I have no need for the 6.2's extra grunt or the 8 speed transmissions constant upshifting. I did get the HD trailering since I tow a car at times.

That should have the 6L80 still, no shudder unless the fluid is bad. Ditch the trans thermostat cause they run them at 195.
