lets not get started with the brakes as the hoses expand like a morbidly obese fat man eating a 5 gallon container of ice cream

[emoji23] kinda funny but yet most of the shit in my driveway has pretty painted bumpers. My two favorites in my fleet have the wet paper plates as the front bumper.

Yup they sagged and I fixed it. Imagine that wore out doors on a almost 30 year truck?

As for the brake lines.... Brake lines are cheap what’s the big deal? Yeah common problem and easy fix. Upgrade to stainless if you are that worried.

Same can be said for most old trucks, too, especially if you live in the salt states. Seems to be the only states where vehicle are immune from rust are the southern states starting in Texas and heading West.

My 87 S10 was driving year round on the southern end of the rust belt. When I sold it in 2016, it had less rust then my buddies 07 Classic Silverado......his bed, rockers and cab corners were all trash.....mine only needed a partial rocker on the drivers side.

You can not deny for one minute that the newer trucks are made with cheap thin sheet metal compared to everything OBS and prior.

It laregely depends on how a person takes care of their vehicle for those that live in the rust belt. I wash and clean my rides (bottom and top) very regularly so I don't have a lot of issues with rust either. My 07 burb has only needed minor rust repair once. While I've seen other 07 and newer GM trucks/SUVs who had significant rust damage. But that can be said with the older trucks, too, even with the higher quality metal. If someone neglects their vehicle it'll turn to dust in no time.

Shortly after i bought my Tahoe i had some guy in a Toyota mini van try and race me.
It might have had turbos...

I waited until we started going up the canyon road, pushed the tow button and showed him what it had (hp vs torque).


On a flat road i might have lost, so i waited.
