Question regarding 2.25” level and 33” tires

I’m getting a 2.25” level on my 2017 Tahoe and 305/55/20 tires.

Never had a any sort of lift or level done before and just wondering if there’s any driving issues to be aware of and if that tire size rubs at all?

I’ve been running 305/35/24 wheels and tires for the last 10-15 years on my trucks but getting tired of always having to watch where I drive and park and with that tire size and no level my wheels do rub a tiny bit when the wheel is turned fully.

The 305/55r20s on my 2013 on stock wheels rubbed on the sway bar at full lock. Not sure if its the same on the 2017? 2" hubcentric spacers got rid of that, needed more trimming, but I liked the wider look anyways

305/35r24 fit perfect on my stock 2015, so I am sure the 305/55r20s should be fine with the level. May need some minor trimming

I am running that exact setup on my ‘15 Sierra. 305/55/20 with a Fuel wheel (+20), Pro-Comp 2-1/4” level kit. It works perfectly, with no tire rub, even at lockout.
I have noticed the Tahoe is slightly lower at stock then the Sierra was. Not sure if you could contribute that to weight or a different spring up front. I wouldn’t guess there would be much rubbing, but. A quick trim to the fender liner would do the trick.
PS...I too am running a 305/35/24 tire and wheel combo on my ‘19 Tahoe.

1.75" is the minimum you can go without having to cut the wheel studs. I went with 2" just to be safe.
Make sure they are HUBCENTRIC. That's the safest way to go.

The lift is 3.5" - Bilstien 5100 lift struts at 2.5" and a 1" upper strut spacer.

Oh my, she's a beauty!! I really like that setup. How does the drive feel? Thank you for providing a picture for reference. Did you have to replace anything else for the lift to work? Like brake line extension, upper control arm, etc... Anyway you could provide a link to where you purchased? It would be highly appreciated! That setup is EXACTLY what I am looking for!

i replaced the upper control arms with tubular arms made for a lift.

I pieced it together. I think everything was from ebay.

I have a 3.5 kit with 20s on 33s with a 0 offset. Only runs slightly at full lock in reverse.

Anyone try 33x12.5x20 on the stock 20" Chrome's? Thinking stocks are less than 10" wide?

I have 305/35r24 on my '15 Tahoe. That equates to 32.4"x12" There's not much more room in there on stock height. May have some rubbing issues with the 33x12.50r20

Good lookin out.

Lookin at installing a 2.5" level. The stock snowflakes are in decent shape ahead of winter. 2 have minor peeling near the valve stem



Have a set of atturo trail blades 33x12.5 that have been sitting a few years collecting mouse terds.
