I have seen the test's they did with the production sedans against the fastest cars in the world, tesla smokes them all out the gate anyway

I agree with the software they use they can apply a massive amount of torque to those electric motors, they can already smoke the quickest gas car's in the world out of the gate with a production sedan, it's only after about 100mph that any of them can catch up
skip to 5 minutes for the actual race

This is because, theoretically, at it's rated voltage, an electric motor makes 100% of it's rated torque at 0 RPM.

For you engineers reading this and itching to correct and complicate it with your technicalities, I know there are factors and variables that counter the 100% theory. But, it's still something an internal combustion engine's power band will never compare to.

I just drove from Tampa to Jax Beach, and I used maybe 1/2 tank. 90 mph whole way and mileage was 22.6 average.

Let's have an engineer do the math on that vs. coal burning Al Gore mobiles.

If I charge it up at our local hydro-Electric plant it's green.
at the expense of fish. :( hydro is just a big fish blender
wind at the expense of birds

So a Tesla with a diesel genny on a trailer would last forevah!!

The energy storage war is leaning towards the battery but the infrastructure that supports it is nowhere near green. The process from manufacture to recycling is a polluting mess. That isnt including recharge.
