Had no idea people stole those. I have rear seats from all my vehicles in storage.

My neighbor, who is also one of my church members, asked me if I was serious about shooting someone who burglarized my home or our vehicles??? I was like "I hope they believe in God as much as I do because if they come through that door without being a resident, I'll help them relocate to a better resting place!". Trust me, I value life but I won't place anyone else's life over my familys' life or mine. It's funny because our pastor stood in the pulpit and stated that if someone did a home invasion on his home he'd shoot them and go to God for forgiveness later LOL People need to learn to respect other people's property. Mind you, that same neighbor now owns two firearms LOL Go figure.
my 2012 has a locking steering column but those sensors were not added until 2015 or after maybe 2016/17
I have added a viper alarm with those extra sensors, mine picks up sound, has gps & 4g so it triggers the alarm horn, car horn and a loud piezo horn inside the truck and sends me a phone app alert, text and email and buzzes the 2-way keyfob.
Is this just Escalades or all models? The first locking column came out in 2010 and was beefed up in 2012. '12 was the same year the inclination and shock sensors were introduced, also Pass Key 3. Oh, the laminated glass on the side windows was added in 2010 too. All or most would be nice upgrades for us in the future I think!

Your Viper is a better system.

2001 Yukon SLT
2012 Yukon Denali XL
2011 Yukon Denali RIP 5/20/18
Might be fun?AFAIK it's just the Escalades. I saw a mention of some Yukon models but it did not elaborate and that's the first time I'd seen that in three years. I know Pete's 2013 Tahoe does not have a locking column.
It might be fun to one day pick up a wore out ESV and swap over it's column, door glass and sensors and such. I had also thought of using their rear doors on mine to give it a different look too at one time.
Might be fun?![]()
hmm, news to me on the sensors, I was reading about how the security systems were on the newer 2016+ trucks and that was the only time I saw a mention of there being any added sensors or options, where did you get this info? The first locking column came out in 2010 and was beefed up in 2012. Unless you have dashcam footage from an interior or rear mounted camera of the person breaking in and taking themproblem...... If no legal proof of ownership attached to seats.... ( engraved SS number or driver's license )
No one will touch it. It's probably a loss... unfortunately..
Not enough value to loss for the expense of fingerprinting rear door lock, etc.

I had no idea it was that simple to break into these suvs, I'm going to add a sensor the the hatch now.
That’s what I thought you meant....Let me rephrase that, it might be fun to pick up an ESV and let my kids and future sons-in-laws swap over all those parts while the old man watches from his rocker!
It's an 07. I was reading up on the dei modules. I just ordered the shock sensor and motion sensor. I also locked down my extra set with heavy duty cable lock on the front of the seats and waiting on the guardian lock to come to lock the rear of the seats. I just don't like the glass being popped open so easily. I like to keep stuff in my vehicle at times. I'm going to sell this one to an overseas market and get an 2015+. Atleast the seats are bolted down on those. I have two active gps systems just in case someone wants to tow it away to strip. I was on iaai last night looking for a newer yukon and seen in the Dallas area someone stripped the whole left side of an 2015 Yukon. I'm guessing to replace parts on a wrecked one. They took driver headlight, driver fender, driver front door and driver rear door as well as the driver tail light. That's all they took. Seems to be a big problem in TexasWhat year is your Esky? I think the glass and interior motion sensor and tow sensors were added in sometime in 2010-2012 along with different glass and a locking steering column.
Sure hope the police bring them to justice.
Did I read right that you attempted to meet with the thief? He probably spotted you first doing counter-surveillance and took off.
