Did this today. Installed the LED brake light strip in the rear window and deleted the rear wiper. I still have to get the correct plug/caps for the holes. Don't forget to leave enough slack for the window to open.

My buddy did the same to his blacked out Tahoe . Yes he has strips behind his appliqués

If I were him, I'd keep the led's in the appliques and ditch the window strip.
Agree. It looks cool with the behind the appliqués strips. Too much with the additional window strip IMHO.

Yes, I'm keeping the 3rd. I need all the brake lights I can get. Your buddy's looks great. In that case I would get rid of the the 3rd and keep the strip. I do like it like it is, so I'm not sure. May leave all of it.

People have different tastes, I’m personally im not even a fan of the applique lights. But I approve of his ingenuity and creativity, his Tahoe is one of the cleanest blacked out Tahoe’s I’ve ever seen.

$120 bux is cheap. You could probably sell your stocks for 50ish.

took 5 mins a side to install.


would you happen to recall what type and size bit you used to get them off? looks like a torx, but nothing i own fits.
