really loving how they look

I believe they sit 1.25" further out from the truck roughly.

I wanted to do -12mm offset, but it only came in 9" rims, and my tires weren't rated for that. Could I have done it? probably. did I want to risk anything? nah

-31 to 0 would be 1.22", but you gotta count the smaller room size, too, since you went from 8.5 to 8, so that's another 1/4 back in. You should be right at 1" farther out by the math. Looks killer.

haha maybe it's time to start ending all of my work emails with "sent from my poverty iPhone 7+".

I'm working on trying to edit some before and after footage to demonstrate just how bad the LEDs were, but I'm not having a ton of success

I couldn't figure out how to splice clips together to show the LEDS / HIDS side by side like in the pics, but here are some individual videos

I would suggest turning the sound down / off, because it's either me talking to people or music

hopefully we'll get some more treacherous white out conditions, but I think it's actually supposed to be like 50 degrees with no snow all week

did my 2nd retrofit

turns out the H1 7.1 is VERY different from the H1 7.0, and this new kit turned 12 hours into less than 2

waiting for sealant to dry over night and then I'll get them installed and tested

also making a YouTube how to guide because it's so simple, but there are no good guides online

Haha I have a iPhone 6+ like a peasant, I try and use my backup phone for better pics, which is a galaxy s7. Still a peasant phone but a better camera than the iPhone lol

got to work today and one of my coworkers complained that my truck was loud as shit when pulling in

figured it was just my exhaust, but decided to check it out anyways

sheared a good ole lug bolt off

from what I've read, it's fairly common on older vehicles in the north. with all the rust, it just takes a slightly over-torque and they're toast

I haven't had that happen to any car of mine yet, and I'm in NJ, and lived in Pa for awhile. All salty states.

That doesnt happen up here in Alaska. Just hulk torqued me thinks

Ended up being that they were under torqued. It was pretty much my first time ever doing brakes / new rims / whatever and I only used a torque gun, which didn't do the job.

The root cause was that I used lug bolts that were not designed for the application.

I was very fortunate that my coworker pointed it out so that we could fix it, before I ended up losing a tire at 85 MPH on my commute to work.

been so busy with work I haven't even put in my new retrofits yet

right now I'm trying to decide if I'm going to keep the vehicle or sell it...

next week I should be pulling the Grand Prix out of storage, and don't see any point in keeping a $6000 truck around that I won't use again until October

at the same time, I almost pulled the trigger on another set of these rims, but with the -12MM offset this time

so indecisive
