Had this for a couple years, bought it for my wife in probably 2015 i think. She drove it off and on. I’ve since started daily driving it. I’ve added a 05-06 air dam, NCSHP wheels, new headlights, parking lights and fog lights. I bought it with 169k on it, it now has 206k. I’ve thought about lowering it some but still undecided

If you are going to be making repairs & replacements yourself, get a workshop manual. It carries instructions & procedures for everything. Some of the online subscriptions are comparable to what an authorized tech or dealership service department would utilize. The paperback books you buy at the parts store aren't bad but I don't know if they get down to buttons & switches. I have 1 if I can remember to check it out for you. I don't have it on me at the moment but I will check the online version for curiosity sakes.

Finally fixed the antenna after 3 years of owning it, someone broke it off at the base, went to the junkyard and got a replacement, that was a pain to switch out but I got it. Also added a set of factory tow hooks, and got a button for my passenger side power seat control. While I had the dash out I swapped it out with another one I had because my original had a crack in it. It has some peeling so I’ll need to paint it but it’s not to bad. Going to be getting the windshield replaced soon as well.

I will see about finding a factory manual, I’m not a fan of the generic auto part store ones

I've never heard of the nbs dashes ever cracking.

Couple pics from today’s progress. Anyone ever resprayed the dash with the SEM interior paint, if so what color is closest match to the original tan. I got the tow hooks for 6 bucks, what a score

How hard is it to pull the top cover.my dash is peeling in the same spots.but seeing how yours comes off I think I'll repaint it off instead of trying to do it in the vehicle.my glove box is peeling to so probably do all the pieces I guess

It’s super easy to pull, there are 4 Philips screws on the driver and passenger side behind the fuse cover and 6-7 7mm screws behind the gauge cluster surround. Also the a-pillar trim needs to be removed before removing the dash top. Once everything is unbolted lift it up and slowly pull it out toward you

Which online manual do you prefer? I currently have alldatadiy but I personally don't think it shows enough diagrams.

Looking good. I really like that air dam you added, I've been thinking about getting one for my 01 Hoe! I got mine a couple of years ago with around 150,000 on her.

I like it, I got mine off amazon for 50 bucks. I put one on my 2000 Tahoe I had and it definitely looks better with them
