Although that is crazy to change a stupid bulb, it's 5 degrees outside, and I have no room to get it inside. Checked one dealer that wanted $100, called the next closest, and they said $50 including the bulb. What a stupid design to change any of the front bulbs. I miss my 02 just having to pull 2 pins, and the whole assembly is out. There are many vehicles out there that have to have the whole front bumper cover pulled, just to change any bulb. That would be fun on the side of the road. BRILLIANT

you can do it without removing the bumper takes like 10 minutes which is likely what the dealer is doing for $50

It still looks like a major pain, and it is FN cold out too, which plastic doesn't like. Plus, they said on my 13 PPV the air box needed to come out too?

it's not that hard at all, put on some gloves, 10MM socket remove all bolts across the top of the front grill including top of light housing, (2) of these are either 7mm or 8mm I don't remember which it is one or the other. after that remove one bolt from guard behind wheels at about 1/3 of the way up from the front bottom also is 7 or 8mm, pull the housing back enough to look inside with flashlight to locate the inside bolt, reach inside with small ratchet & 10mm, loosen only inside 10mm bolt, carefully pull out light housing from front, you may end up with a small scratch or scuff on your hand or forearm if not really careful but I'd take that over a $50-100 bill any day. I have done this 6 or 7 times probably already and it gets easier every time, even changed and installed a bigger transmission cooler on the front without taking off the bumper (just take off front grill instead)

Removed a few times on my 07 avalanche 08 tahoe no need to remove anything grill or bumper related I just put painters tape on painted edges that lens is going to touch wiggle it right out I think it is three bolts two on top then a few push pins and a small screw on fender well to access bolt on bottom of lens you can do it !

Soooooooooo, I had a wreck last year and the WhiteHoe was in the shop and I called them and said make damn sure those dtrl are working b4 I get there.
Well I forgot to check and I'll be damn.

The side that was repaired was not working. So i'm like shiiiiiiiiitttttt. so 1 cool day (too cold for golf) I bought 2 bulbs and started in out the bumper cover. long story short. the wire behind the dtrl was not seated good.

Wasn't the bulbs.

Well it's just plain a stupid, stupid, stupid design not being able to easily change any bulb, anytime, any where! On my 02 Silverado, all you had to do was to pull 2 pins, and the whole light assembly was out in 5 seconds. A lot of GM and other cars you have to pull the whole front bumper cover just to change any bulb. Good luck at night in the Walmart parking lot.
