We have a new AT4, 6.2L. On the long drive home from the dealer we were using cruise and learned quickly that something must be wrong.
It has a surge type feeling. It almost feels like a shift of gears. When it does, it is a noticeable surge/minor jolt feeling. Sometimes almost as if the cruise was disengaged. It is like the computer is too precise and wants to be exactly at the set speed, to a fault. When it occurs, there is a slight RPM change (maybe 100-200 rpms or so). There is no way this is normal, as it kind of feels like a "miss" of the engine/fuel, like the old days.
It does not matter whether the cruise is set to 50, 65, 78, etc, it still does it.
We called the dealer we purchased it at, and they have not heard of any issues like that. Their suggestion was maybe it will work itself out, drive it and see. We started with 300 miles on it, it now is at 800 with no change in the issue.
We are going to have to set an appointment at the local dealer, but before then, was wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience.
