So this happened today. M&A Muffler and Brake in Lombard, IL. Met me on a Sunday morning. Let me hang around in the shop, line it up the way I wanted it, inspect his welds OCD style. Put the lift up and down for me to see how the tip sat. Added a heavy duty hanger. Can't say enough good things. Oh yeah, $125. Sounds brutal. On cold start, it's awesome and settles down right quick. On throttle, it's pretty loud :head3:. At idle, it's a bit deeper than stock, but won't bother neighbors as long as I get down the block gently. Lovin it. Will get video when I get a few minutes... Got a rehearsal to get to.

Video clip now...bish

Damn that looks good even with the plugs unpainted on black. Im gonna have to do this. My wiper arm is missing paint and looks bad, my wife even commented on it.

I've got a year old OEM GM wiper arm with new blade if your interested

Man....your truck is hitting the very peak. So awesome. One question....should there be a SIGNIFICANT improvement over NNBS?

Define significant.

Depends on what rotors and pads you are running on the nnbs setup of course, most people wouldn't notice the difference unless you told them when street driving i would guess?

I am assuming thats a 14" front rotor with 6 piston calipers. Obvious mechanical advantage there plus floating vs fixed calipers.

More pad contact area and better heat dissipation would definitely make it a noticable improvement in a performance setting. Whether the roi is high enough would have to be down to the end user.

What size plugs for the rear wiper ?

Also I ordered new valve seals and valve cover gaskets. Gonna knock those out this weekend.... is there anything else I should do while in doing that? (I have the tools to do the valves also just curious about any common fail points for the 5.3)

I'm replacing the valves because I have some smoke (abnormal) from the exhaust pipe a d figured it wouldn't hurt to change the seals out since the high mileage

I picked up this assortment https://m.ebay.com/itm/50-Piece-She...quot-2-quot-/122397885057?txnId=1852897729002
The biggest hole a 1 1/2 plug covers it nicely, but you need to trim the back to make it sit flush, the 3 holes for the wiper arm bracket were 1/4 and the washer fluid hose was maybe 3/4 the smaller ones aren't marked so not sure on the middle one

Got some lighting mods completed. 4-hi mod and tow mirror parking lights. The tow mirrors LED's were a lighter orange than the cab lights to I put white LED's in the cab lights to match. Just need to order LED's for front signal/parking lights so they all match. View attachment 184824 View attachment 184825
Like the cab lights. Did you install those or is it a quadrasteer?

Thanks...I installed them. I'm not a big fan of the single big 3 lights but wanted to go with OEM for that body style. I would love to find some quadrasteer rear fender flares with the marker lights. Well...find some that didn't cost a fortune.

Sounds great!!

Nice buddy, sounds great nate...lol

Thanks, guys. I'm still getting used to it in the cab, lol. It barks pretty good when I get on it above 2000ish. Once I'm cruising, there really isn't any drone. I think the 3.42 rear end helps because my Rpms are so low in the highway. At a warm idle, even standing right next to it, it's barely louder than stock, just a good deep tone. Very pleased so far. Leaving stop signs has gotten to be a lot more fun...
