My wife and I just picked up an 03 Tahoe. Got a good deal, but it had rust in the rear quarter panel. Here's some pics of my weekend work. Still need to do a little wet sanding, do a final color coat, then clear. I'd be done, but I bumped a spot before the paint was dry and had to do a spot repair.

Thanks for the positive response guys. I've been building cars and trucks for about 20 years. Now to get some maintenance stuff done before starting the fun stuff. It has 159k on the clock, and without proper records, I'm just going to do a full tune up. But, I'll put that in a different thread.

Why not just make this your build thread since you already have some good work, pics and write up.

Have the mods change your title and away you go. Just my .02.

Great idea, I concur. Just send a PM to a mod and away you go.

X3. I am now a year in of saying, I'll start it soon, and it simply has become a daunting task at this point... And there's not really all THAT much I've done. DO. IT. NOW.

I thought the same thing, "I didn't do that much", until I started my page, and documenting all my mods. All those little things really do add up! Do it too @HiHoeSilver !!

Took the Tahoe for a trail ride today. Nothing extreme, but just wanted to see how she would handle. I'm used to Jeeps and smaller suvs, but the wife insisted she have a full size for hauling our kids around and running errands. Good news is, she gave permission for me to build it. With that said, I'll be turning this into a build thread. Here's the upcoming to do list after all maintenance is caught up.

Interior:

Pioneer double din DVD

Pioneer component speakers, amp & sub

7 inch LCD monitors in the headrests

Exterior:

HD Hood
RC 6" lift
Ford keys
Z71 flares

Wheels/tires

Moto Metal 692 20x12 -44 wheels
37x13.5 Nitto tires

Performance:

Ecu tune
CAI
Cat back exhaust
