But that plastic part is a pretty good piece of your rear end. If my plastic parts weren't colormatched my rig would look like sh*t. That's not a waste of CM paint my friend.Gave the hitch a couple coats of satin black and the Denali skin some gloss white. The match seems good and I didn't want to waste actual CM paint on a plastic part.... We'll see.... View attachment 179841 View attachment 179842

I hate close when it comes to paint. Always catches my eye but it's your rig! If it doesn't bother you that's all that matters. I even had to have my body guy blend my hood to my fenders because I could see a slight difference. Same when he painted my rear hatch after I shaved the wiper. The rustoleum 2x gloss white is pretty f'in close, bro.
Lots of times even from the factory the paint is slightly off on plastic compared to steel panels. Bothers me too.I hate close when it comes to paint. Always catches my eye but it's your rig! Got it. The paint will stick to the plastic just fine though as long as you prep it right, especially since it's already been painted. You won't be painting to the plastic, you'll be painting to the primer as long as you don't sand all the way through. Good luck with whatever you do, hope it comes out great.I agree with you and should've worded all this differently from the beginning. I was worried about wasting the expensive paint due to it not sticking to the plastic, so I tested the white I had on a little spot. It was so close that I decided to just go ahead and do it. I figured worst case, I'll just do it over.

I went for a short drive today...
And I saw a waterfall.
Best of all, I got 17.59 MPG for the round trip.![]()
I got my fire extinguisher mounted in the back. And finally decided to remove the Denali door badges. Still need to remove a little more stubborn adhesive and polish the area up a bit, but I'm already glad I took them off.

Those are the only badges I wanted on mine but mine are kind of rare black ones. Then I added SUPERCHARGED over the top of the Denali in black also.
