I was underneath my truck the other day and looked at my trans pan and saw what looked like a drain bolt

I know stock pans don't have drain bolts, and my trans was rebuilt so they must have put a pan on with a drain bolt. Just to be certain, that is a drain bolt right? Idk what else it could be

Today I installed a handy dandy cell phone holder.

In reality, its just a magnet. It comes with a flat piece of metal that slides behind your phone case.

I didn't want anything blocking my AC vents, so I drilled a hole in the dash, and used the included locknut to secure it. View attachment 84060

I just started using one like that. Very handy,; my only complaint is my phone (iPhone 6 +) moves the mount due to being heavy so I have to adjust it once in awhile.

Thats another reason I didn't want to go with a vent mount. This one is solid.

It's not where it attaches to the truck that moves- the mount itself moves at it's swivel. I tried tightening up the hand nut but it still adjusts itself downward.
Edit:I just used a pair of channel locks on that thing and it seems solid now. Time will tell.

I went with a ProClip angled phone mount and put a WizGear universal stick-on magnet on it. The magnet is so strong that if you get your phone within a couple of inches from it, it'll grab it mid air. It doesn't block the vent at all even with the Note 5.

Am currently swapping in a new battery, my old one barely had enough juice to crank over after playing the radio with the key on Accessory for about 45 minutes. Picked up a 800 cca/ 1000ca/ 125 reserve minute group 34/78 dual terminal for $80.

Am going to grab the old battery and mounting hardware out of my wrecked Suburban, and run a dual battery setup. Running a dual battery system with another of the same batteries, just have to order some 1/0 wire to tie the two in parallel. Gonna have me 1600cca's of cranking power, and 250 minutes of reserve!
