I'm thinking about cutting off my stock exhaust tip and the pipe at the hanger. Will this make extra noise inside the truck? If so, how much?

Next, my factory projectors seem a little hazy on the inside. I notice it only when the lights are on. Is there any way to clear these up some?

I did it to mine and it was barely noticable inside the truck. Makes it sound deeper outside the truck at idle which is nice :imo:

how did cutting off the exhaust tip make it sound different? unless it's echoing off the road thats the only way i can understand it changing the sound.

now if it's just the tip, maybe not, but if you cut it off, less pipe, like before rear axle, yes, change in tone.

Thanks for the input guys. Plan to cut it off just behind the rear tire.

How much did you cut off? Before or after the axle?

why not just get a different muffler and then dump it under the truck if you want it to sound different?

since the passanger cabin goes all the way back, unlike a truck, you have to be careful where you dump the exhaust...on my bagged truck, i ****** up and dumped it just at the cab/bed seam..it canceled out my subs on the interstate...moved back 2 feet, and there was zero drone..in a tahoe id think you wouldnt want much dumped under the truck..im thinkin of doin it and just cutting it so the pipe goes straight and doesnt turn to exit..it looks like shit as it is lol

I'm really not doing it for the sound, I just don't like the look of it and the tip is always filthy.
