Reman cluster from rock auto would be cheaper than repairing your stock one if your not doing it yourself. I have $180 in my Esky cluster after my core was refunded.

The PD that this truck came from has retrofit all their other Tahoes with LEDs, but this model spotlight is old (truck is a 2003) so I don't know what might fit. I think they would've already done it if it was possible. Too expensive to order an LED only to find it won't fit. Plus, I'll only use them once in a while. Just happy I don't have to look at that mess anymore when I'm driving and they're folded in!

Got a pic of your truck? Looks the same color as mine, same year too! :)

Hows the ride now?
I can't really pinpoint what has had what affect of my ride with all that I've done in the past few weeks. But one thing is for sure. It DOES NOT ride like a lifted 6000lb beast anymore. Body roll is minimal, the brakes bring it to a solid stop with any vibration or shimmy, the nose dive on a hard brake is pretty much like any other vehicle that comes to an abrupt stop. With the Built-up Tranny I just threw in, it has no problems getting the big ass tires rolling and doesn't have any problems passing at speed anymore either. I honestly can say, I'm in love with my rig again just because she rides so damn good now.

Bring on Black Bear Autocal soon and I should be good until I blow this motor up!

Sandblasted and painted my PPV wheels, but I've decided to go with drop spindles and big brakes, both of which require 17" wheels, so these 16" 05-06 style won't work. So I'm in a quandary - I can keep the 17" aluminum GMC rims I'm running now (see pic above), maybe painted charcoal, or spring for some 2015 style 7-spoke PPV rims. Don't care for the 07-14 round hole style. Budget won't allow going any larger because I need to pay for the 3/5" drop kit and brakes. Any opinions?

The Big 3 isn't going to hurt but it isn't going to help your discharge issue. It is good you fused the wire. Only idiots on car audio forums don't fuse to save money. The fuse protects the wire.

My suggestion would be to buy the largest deep discharge you can fit. Just make sure the CCA is high enough, which they should be if you get a monster DD. I've done this on other vehicles and never had a problem. Large DD are expensive and heavy for what it's worth.

Or, hook it up to a charger. :2cents:
What would be your best suggested battery then? I have a 04 z71 suburban.

Brand really doesn't mean anything anymore. Get the best warranty you can with the highest CCA (cold cranking amps)
