I believe the AirRaid Jr does what you want.Quick question, because I've been doing some digging in my free time at work (which hasn't been much) but I know that someone here will know. Can you install an intake tube like what comes with the CAI cheapy on ebay with the stock air box?
I want to keep the OEM airfilter box, because its a true CAI (and I cant afford a volant right now) and with new things coming down the pipe, I can't explain an AirRaid MIT (gotta buy a ring, and pay for a wedding soon)
any advice?

it does, and I would LOVE to have one, but I can't as easily explain a $160 as I can a $~10 with a "gift card"I believe the AirRaid Jr does what you want.

I've seen some of those, and am considering it, but I want to make something look good. The PVC might, with some paint, but the dryer vent option just doesn't.Your other cheap option is to do a home depot pvc or heavy duty dryer vent build. Don't have time to dig them up right this minute, but there's a thread or two on here and on GMFS.
I just purchased an Airaid MIT 200-919 from Advance Auto Parts which they list for $145. I stacked a 30% off coupon code and some of their SpeedPerks rewards ($20 & $5) that I had earned from previous purchases, and walked out the door with it for $81 in the end. Shop around, you might be able to work out a similar deal.it does, and I would LOVE to have one, but I can't as easily explain a $160 as I can a $~10 with a "gift card"

My plan and use header wrap instead of paint.I've seen some of those, and am considering it, but I want to make something look good. The PVC might, with some paint, but the dryer vent option just doesn't.

I refuse to pay $100 for a fancy pvc tube with the word airaid on it. But that's just me
No worries, it's the Plasti-dip spray. I just went with the matte black.Dumb question on my part but when you say you dipped the bumpers and stuff are you referring to the plastic dip spray or a different method?

There's a member on here who did the PVC mod, but I don't remember who did it. He had to use a straight pipe going from the tb to the factory airbox and he painted it black. Didn't look bad.Your other cheap option is to do a home depot pvc or heavy duty dryer vent build. Don't have time to dig them up right this minute, but there's a thread or two on here and on GMFS.
Always glad to help a brother out! LolI must say @Tonyrodz your misfortune is very reminiscent of my father and I any time we work on anything. Seems like we break two things to fix the first.
On the bright side, I now know exactly what to avoid in all my modding, because you've got the "rubs" and "burns" to prove it![]()
