To set the stage I have a 2003 Tahoe Z71. I put a leveling kit on, add a few things and 285/70R17 tires, all added last summer. Anyways a few weeks ago she started making a weird noise. Bare with me as i will try to upload the video but of course i was wanting to know if anyone has encounter this on their truck before.

is that constant? under load? i cant tell if thats a tick or rattle somewhere in the exhaust, or if its something flapping around in the rotating assembly or driveline.

It is somewhat constant. Usually when the front of the truck is higher than the rear. In this video i actually pulled the front wheels up on some stairs in front of my apartment. However it will also do it when under load at any and all speeds.

with it running, in park and cold, see if you can put your hands on the exhaust, the cats, muffler. Check off as many easy things you can first. otherwise you can go poking around with a stethascope and see if you can pinpoint it anywhere internally.

My 2 guesses. Exhaust hitting the chassis OR torque converter bolt(s) loose.

I am getting some exhaust work done next weekend so those suggestions will be the first things i will look for. This weekend, while the truck is cold i will crawl under there and start checking exhaust looking for any signs of something loose.

Never thought about the torque converter although it sounds like it could be coming from that area.
