I just finished bypassing my rear audio controls for my Tahoe, so I don't have to have the control unit sitting on the front floorboar. And tomorrow I'm gonna try to throw in my front speakers and sub from Amazon.
Bypass as in you rewired all that back together?

My "Service 4WD" had been on, and no lights or anything on the panel. Pulled the fuse under the hood, and the one on the cabin (just to be sure) and let it reset. Plugged them back in and now everything works!

And before any snow gets here.

I had to go to work at 2 AM today and noticed some de-icer had been applied to the road and there was a bit of icy sheen. I looked at my mirror display to check the temp and saw it was 35 degrees, but then it said "Ice" and went back to temp. It did this a few times then stopped and just displayed temp and there was no more ice on the road. I had no idea my Denali had this feature! I assume it used a combo of temp and traction control to diagnose the condition.

So as far as the Eagle Eyes, anyone rig some up in the rear caps of the Z71 rack facing backwards? I've seen the 3" light installed in them and dude on ebay does them for 85.00, but then I would have to change the bulbs, because he uses halogen lights. I assume the eagle eyes just surface mount, am I correct?

Nevermind. I'm gonna have to look at it again I think.

Made it a mile, and it came back on.
Sounds like one of the symptoms when my transfer case took a shit on me last year. Getting stuck in 4 lo without pushing the button, then throwing the SVC 4WD light and and the traction control turning itself on and off.

I'm really hoping it's not that. It SEEMS more like an electronics issue. Once the fuses rest it shifted into, drove, and out of 4wd without any problem. Then I drove a bit more and it told me to service 4wd, and it wouldn't go in anymore.

The fuses were both fine, the lights won't light up for either 4w Hi or 4Lo, and I'm hoping it's a switch problem. Either that or I think it could be the position senor motor in the transfer case.

Gonna take a deeper look than I was able to give it after work, and sitting around talking about it with a few beers.

That's exactly what was wrong with mine, encoder motor & sensor, also bent the encoder motor shift fork. $1100.00

My 03 does the same exact thing.

Luckily once my service 4wd came on it was the front axle. Replaced it and it was all good.

Uuuggggh..

I've read some people getting away with just replacing the sensor. So, hopefully that will be all I have to do.

I hope so, I let mine go for a while and just kept resetting it by disconnecting the battery. But it started ******* up in the snow and it had to be done.

Good luck bro.

What are you guys running for LED's in the license plate. I like JDM ASTAR bulbs, but I know that the ones in the license plate need to be pretty short or low profile. Here's what I was running but they flickered like hell til they burnt out.

I'm gonna put eagle eyes in my license plate bulb housing soon as I can get the time to do it. I did my car and it was brighter than I thought it would be lol

How long was the boat ride for them to get here?

Not bad actually, about 2 weeks to Alaska. but I think it was a mistake , usually takes abut 4 weeks normally from China.

But they're weird , instead of encased in glass they're encased in squishy clear rubber silicone, like what they put in fake *******
