3 inch for the 5.3

I did the regular Venom 250, so that is what you are hearing on my videos

I was worried the 250 wouldn't be loud enough for me lol I just took a 5,000 mile trip in ours and it was great. No drone what so ever! Sounded awesome through the mountains too! Definitely got lots of looks! My fiance says people ask her about what exhaust is on it all the time

oh yeah, when you get on it you can hear it. I like that with the resonator and factory tip - it looks stock

Yep cruising down the highway at 90 it sounds just as quiet as factory inside. The sound is almost negligible. I kept the resonator as well. You can definitely hear it when you're outside of it though.

Yep - muffler only

I would like the corsa but that's a lot of money. This has a good crisp bark, and I have no freeway drone at all. I am pleasantly surprised

Would a more aggressive muffler from them mimic a corsa?

I am 3''. If I was to go back I'd do AR headers and stock catback knowing what i know now. The MBRP doesn't feel choked or anything and sounds great.

I listened with earbuds and, damn, I love the tone.

It's a little too loud for this geezer (LOL) so I wonder what would be a step down on the volume level.

This sounds great! I wanted about this level of sound. I went with the magniflow 12589 and was dissapointed with how little difference it made. So I hacked off my resonator but it really didnt help much. Gave the truck a deeper tone but its almost like stock volume levels. Even my wife who wanted it to remain quiet was dissapointed. She admitted that she did want a little more rumble than what we got.

This sounds awesome. Nice find.

This was exactly the gargle type sound I was looking for years ago. Makes a 5.3 sound like a old version 6.2

zero drone - I've done multiple 3 hour trips from Houston to Austin and San Antonio and no ear fatigue

The same cannot be said for my Sierra with dual flowmasters. Just annoying as hell after 45 minutes

This muffler sounds like the perfect tone to me. Been doing much critical listening with earbuds and comparing with other videos of the 5.3 featuring Magnaflow and Flowmaster.

Then it finally hit me: this Black Widow 250 with factory resonator on a 5.3 sounds like a very happy medium between the Magnaflow tone (smooth & deep with soft burble) and the Flowmaster tone (hollow & loud with medium bark). And if the Black Widow doesn't drone, I'm sold.

I've been eying this muffler too but since my 04 doesn't have a resonator I'm afraid it's going to be too loud. I have a 4"x9"x14" Magnaflow and I have mild drone under acceleration in town. But no drone that the tires won't cancel out at highway cruising speeds. I've had this setup for a couple years since when my wife was dailying it and now that I'm driving it is want more aggressive but not overdone.

In long I can't decide if I want to go 300 or 250, or go with a Flowmaster delta 40, or the 5"x8" magnaflow or a Magnaflow xl.

I'm putting the venom 250 on my suburban with the 5.3 on Monday with no resonator. I'll let you know how it sounds and post a video
