finally got done with the fluid change. it went surprisingly easier than i thought it would be. during the rear diff fluid replacement, i also took the spare down and cleaned/lubed the winch assembly.

so far everyting looks good. no leaks yet.

Thanks

I did quit a bit of research many said it is a good, high quality oil. I also replaced my front and rear diff with royal purple MAX Gear oil 75W-90.

Well the manual also says Dexron VI. But I have the selectable dial selector.

So that's what's confusing me.

Here's what's the manual says and a picture of the switch.

Again, I may have misunderstood, but Auto trak II was for the this type of selectable switch and Dexron vi was for AWD with no switch.

Thanks

Looks exactly like my 2011. Manual wasn't very helpful and I became worried about it after reading some posts here for Autotrak II since I just changed with Valvoline MaxLife ATF. Well, just spoke with the local dealer who says they are calling for Dex VI.

So let me see if I got this right

75 W - 90 front and rear

Synthetic dex 6 transfer case

Dex 6 for transmission

Going synthetic blend in the engine

Also 75w 140 for lsd or you need to add lsd fluid to it for the rear. Most of us just use 15w 140 regular for the front.

If you are 4wd you use auto-trac II but if your awd takes dex VI . Unless something has changed since the last time did the research for it.
