I like the map pocket by my right knee. My leg conceals it when it's there, but then I just grab it and go when I get out.

I feel like behind the screen would hamper draw if something actually we're to happen.

I 100% agree with this and dont actually like it there from a protection perspective. I mainly use it for times im at the ranch and didn't bring a gun. For fast access the cubby is not great. Looking for other alternatives.
