I sent a message to White Audio on Saturday through their website but they haven't replied to me yet. I'll report back with any news.

Maybe they will chime in with more detail here later, or perhaps they will even consider a "group buy", but you can reprogram your existing BCM if you send it to them. The problem was that it wasn't very cost effective. You have to ship them your unit (they only work weekend's, so you'd be out of a vehicle for several days). They program and ship back, but then you have to go to the dealer to have your braking system reprogrammed, which I'm sure will raise all kinds of questions.

Exchanged a few emails with White Audio, and they were familiar with this mod already and said they have done it for some dealerships recently (not sure under what circumstances). Their cost for custom BCM programming is $249. They did confirm that after reinstalling the BCM, you have to the "brake pedal position relearn". I still don't know what that entails, but I think you can do it yourself. They were also able to confirm that you can't simply swap in an LTZ BCM because there's odometer info saved on the BCM, so you have to keep the same one your vehicle came with.

IMO, $250 is well worth it, just need to find a good time to actually do this since the truck is not drivable without the BCM.

Chris aka GTPrix aka White Audio is a great guy. Just overnight him your BCM and he can overnight it back to you.

Done deal.

Great price as well because you won't find anyone else capable of BCM mods.

OK - I did some researching on this for you guys interested in this mod.

You WILL have to go to someone with a scan tool capable of accessing the BCM. That will most likely be a dealer until these get a little older. I have the newest, most up to date Snap On scan tool on the market and it does not support 15s as of this time.

Here is the procedure:

Calibration Criteria

Note: Do not apply the brake pedal during the brake pedal position sensor calibration procedure. Any movement of the brake pedal during this procedure will cause the calibration procedure to fail. If this occurs, the brake pedal position sensor calibration must be repeated.

Brake pedal position sensor calibration must be performed after the brake pedal position sensor, body control module(BCM), engine control module (ECM), or hybrid powertrain control module have been serviced. The calibration procedure will set the brake pedal position sensor home value. This value is used by the BCM and ECM/HPCM to determine the action of the driver applying the brake system and to provide this information to the vehicle subsystems via serial data.

Calibration Procedure

1. Apply the parking brake.

2. Ignition ON, engine OFF, place the transmission in the PARK position for automatic transmission or NEUTRAL position for manual transmission.

3. Install a scan tool.

4. Clear all DTCs before proceeding.

5. Navigate to the Configuration/Reset Functions menu of the BCM.

6. Select the Brake Pedal Position Sensor Learn procedure and follow the directions displayed on the screen.

7. Navigate to the Configuration/Reset Functions menu of the ECM/HPCM.

8. Select the Learn Functions menu.

9. Select the Brake Pedal Position Sensor Learn procedure and follow the directions displayed on the screen.

Figure probably $100-$120 dealer visit for that. No need for baggage. Just request the "Brake Pedal Position Sensor Calibration" from you dealer.
