So I just had the power steering pump replaced about a month ago (Professionally done) in my 1997 GMC Yukon 4x4 because at idle I could barely turn the wheel and after that it worked perfect, no problems at all. Now today the power steering seems to be getting noisy and harder to turn at idle and feels a little more firm on the highway. Another thing to mention is when I was changing the oil right after the pump was replaced I noticed a red connector that goes to the pump was unplugged so I plugged it in, I'm not sure what it was maybe speed sensitive steering? But anyway it was all working great until today. Does anyone have an idea of what could be wrong?
