First rust bubble on 08 Yukon... what should I do?

2008 Yukon Denali, 115K. I dreaded the sight today of a little rust bubble on the passenger rear door corner. Two other smaller bubbles right next to it. See pic. What do you guys recommend? Can I stop it if I do something now? I've never done any body work, so I would be more inclined to take it to a professional, but I'm open to thoughts.

I bet them boys over at GM would love to sell you a new one!

The only way to properly fix it is to cut the rust out and do a weld repair. I'm gonna assume you live in an area that uses salt heavily. if that is so there's probably more rust on the way. maybe you can find a rust free door in U pull it Yard don't wait it will only get worse

LOL - Thanks for the constructive input. I live in Wisconsin, so yes there are treated roads after winter storms. Car washes remove the salt. If I lived by the ocean I would have another salt problem. Just looking for some input from those who have treated minor rust. My vehicle is in overall great shape.

I wasn't trying to be a dick but also not really trying to help because I can't help any further than my BS suggestion. Bodywork is NOT my forte and, being a car guy, I would curl up in a fetal position and chant gibberish if I had to work on cars ate up with rust. Props to you for keeping it in good shape.

Also living in WI, i have a few areas in need of attention this summer. There are a ton of youtube videos on this. you could probably repair and blend it on your own. Biggest issue , if you are like me, and its not absolutely perfect, you will see it every time you look. Even if nobody else notices.

Yes - I agree! I am a DIYer, but really only brakes and other simple issues as they come up. I feel a little stuck because I know those spots will only get worse, but I lack the know-how and time to dedicate while on the other hand I don't want to spend $1,500 to have it professionally repaired (wild guess, but probably not too far off). Curious what you are planning to do with yours. What year is your truck and what make/model?

No problem! I didn't take it that way. I feel the same way about rust, which is why I posted. Thanks for a laugh, I actually needed it!
