I also got my replacement from Outlaw Transmissions, they build race transmissions, I pretty much have a beefed up 4l65e. Upgraded clutches, pinless accumulators, vette servos, 5 planetary gears instead of 4, only paid 1200, with core charge

LOL, you're right. She will most likely be busy keeping after our 3.5 year old and 16 month old daughters (crazy monsters), she has helped in other minor roles on other auto repairs, and Im grateful!
Yup! Some women are da ******* when it comes to lending a hand.

Wow! That is one he'll of a deal! That was without install? Where are you located? That's cheaper then my hookup!

I have read that guy is out of business after some questionable stuff. Can't locate anything on the web except where he was in a dispute with a former employee back in 09, do you have updated info on him?

Without install, I decided no more sending stuff off to be worked on, if I do it, cant blame no one but myself if it messes up

Tbh i dont think its the same outlaw, its in Henderson, Co, im in Colorado Springs, drove up to get it. Went inside their shop, and was instantly blown away. They build serious stuff there.... fromOEM Replacements to full on race transmissions

I learned by pulling them on fbodies so these trucks were a piece of cake to me. The torque converter bolts may be a pain but with a trans jack the rest is easy and very straightforward.

Make sure to rtv the bottom corners of the rear plate if u replace it. It should also be centered on the crank or the rear main seal can leak. I used an alignment tool from sac city Auto when I replaced my front and rear plates. Dry as a bone a year later.
