Thinking about adding a couple mods to my tahoe. One thing I'm not too sure about is what would look better- z71 valance or 05-06 chin spoiler. I will eventually be color matching whichever one I decide to go with. I like the chin spoiler because its only $46 at dealer but I also like the look of the z71 valance. Right now my truck is in summer mode with the ltz's and HD hood but soon will be back in winter mode as in my sig. Which one should I get?

Yeah, really like the look of jushue's rig. I think I'm going to look for a used z71 valance on cl or salvage yards. Not trying to pay new prices. If I don't find one soon, I might just have to get the chin spoiler.

I'll be the odd man out. Don't like the Z71. On a lifted rig, not so bad. But looks too truckish to me. The front brush gaurd, body pan, whatever it is. Just doesn't do it for me. But to each his own, and just my .2¢

imo i feel like the chin spoiler only makes the bumper look too long or an accesory to add ground effects..the z71 valance looks good with an HD good i found mine on CL brand new with new foglights for $100

Thanks for your opinions fellas.

Chin spoiler....get that hood painted yet? ;)

No, not yet. Kinda put it on the backburner. Should have done it when that guy offered to paint it for $300.

YES, you should have.

IMO, paint that hood before you spend any monies on new mods. ;-)

agreed^^ i got mine painted with the two tone and my grille colormatched for 350!

I guess you guys are right. I think its been over a year since I got it so its about time to paint it lol. Joshue, that's a really good deal. Maybe I'll have my grill painted too.

Remember the Z71 valence is grey, if that matters to you. The 2006 Suburban LTZ valence, which looks exactly the same comes in black. Or I guess you could paint the Z71 valence if you wanted it in black.

I have both and tried both on my tahoe. I personally like the lip better. Especially being low as i am. Z71 looks off on mine and both are colored matched as well.

Remember the lip wont match right up on your 00 valance. 05-06 have holes throughout the valance that the lip snaps into. But easily could mod it to fit yours. (which im sure you know)
