Z71 amber fog light light bulb

I am looking for Amber fog light bulbs for my 00 OBS z71 Tahoe . Did a search with no luck any help would be appreciated ...... Thanks

I don't have my truck here to confirm, but I believe it's just a 9006 bulb. Look for an amber version.

Well after looking, it does not appear that amber versions of 9006 are readily available. Google search didn't bring up much.

9006 is standard low beam head light. The bumper mounted fog lights are 880 and/or 881. Either will fit and work.

I can't remember which I have in mine. But a 880 is listed at 32W and a 9006 is at 55W so theoretically it is brighter with only a 4 amp difference.

05/05 vs 8XX series also have a diff in the lugs on the base.

Just get some 35watt HID's in 2700k. ddmtuning has the kit for 25$

No thanks to the HIDs. Haven't seen a set that last at all and I get pissed off enough having to change ballasts in my household flourescents.

So then the 9006 won't replace a 880/881 bulb ?

My DDM tuning HID's have lasted longer than most standard bulbs.

This is why when you order a cheap 40$ set, you buy TWO. and swap out the defective unit when it fails. than warrenty the defective unit..


No a 9006 will not seat into a 8XX series Factory base.
Might be the reason its a 9005, 9006, 8XX. Vs say... Universal.....
