Yukon app. for remote start ?

I loved having the free Yukon app. for remote start,
and just passed 5 years now they want you to pay subscription ?
any apps. for remote start without paying GM subscription fees?,
or workaround ?

I've seen GM-RC around. You'll need a specific OBD adapter (GMLAN compatible) and Android to use it though and only works through Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.

To my knowledge. Pretty much any cell phone based remote start is a monthly subscription. Even aftermarket brands like viper.

I feel your pain though, wifes Mercedes just changed over from free to annual fee of $200. The only alternative is to get a physical remote start at the sweet tune of almost $1500 just for materials. Atleast our Yukons can still start with a remote, hers doesn’t.

just ****** you off, you have a feature and they remove it after 5 years.
especially when your spending 80k plus to purchase said vehicle.

you can get a entry level system and smart start, cost's around $12 a month (paid annually)
I have it on all my vehicles with gps tracking, it's more of a convenience than anything, that and got tired of my vehicles being broken into.

I enjoyed the app but I only got 3 months free. Bastards.
