Hello everybody

First I would like to thank all of you for the informative posts and pool of knowledge this forum have been providing for the community.

First time poster long time lurker here

If you're not in a reading mood you can jump to the last paragraph which is a summary

I tried searching put to no avail. I'm looking to make my 2005 2500 Yukon XL stance be similar to a 2500HD truck from the same era And swap HD front and rear bumpers and fascia to the Yukon.

My goal is not the front clip swap, My goal is to make it stand like an HD with the raised body look.

I'm trying to achieve my goal with GM OEM parts which will be cheaper in the end and more durable IMO.

My SUV s a 2005 YUKON XL 2500 4L85E with 8.1 Vortec

after doing some research and reading over the internet and a lot of googling I did find out that most of the 2500hd came with “HVY” RPO code which means higher body mounts and I need those 2inches to get the stance and swap the front clip and rear bumper.

what i thought of is installing truck body mounts which appear to be the height lift for the "HVY RPO" code but i have no idea if they will fit the Yukon frame/body since the 2500 SUV and trucks share 95% same frame did anybody attempt doing that?

Will the body mounts from lets say 2005 2500HD Sierra/Silverado fit my 2500 Yukon XL?

If not does anybody know where I can source a complete 2 inch body lift?

any guidance/info will be highly appreciated.

Thanks again and I do apologize in advance if this is not the correct section for my post.

TL;DR

Is it possible to use 2500HD TRUCK body mounts to get the 2inch body raise on a Suburban/YUKON XL as in mimic'ing HVY RPO code?

Thanks for the reply and your time

I already know about body lift kits but I was looking for something OEM since the yukon xl 2500 and 2500HD share the same chassis (90% of it)

Was just looking around. Probably just have to buy the body mounts separately from GM if available anymore. Try to find a vin off a 2500hd truck and post it here and maybe Rene can help with part #’s and availability. @915_Tahoe
He works at a dealership and helps finding oem part numbers price etc.

Thanks Rene ;)

Thanks @Galante I really appreciate it.

@915_Tahoe Could you please help with this dilemma I'm facing?

Can you please check if the body mounts out of 2500HD will fit my Yukon XL 2500? even in a mix and match ones to get the same extra 2 inches height all around?

I'm looking for the mounts that matches HVY RPO code.

Will what i did find from looking at frame pics online that the bracket for the body mounts on 2500hd frame are 2 inch higher so i don’t think the mount itself is the lifting factor. It is the bracket itself which is sitting higher.

It will be highly appreciated if you can get me a price on the whole oem replacement mounts for a 2006 yukon xl 2500 or the part numbers atleast.

the route that looks more realistic is getting a 2 inch body lift and keep the yukon bumper and just install a hd front grill with the filler piece to fill the gap. I dont want modify the frame or cut the horns.

and i will try to figure out how to fill the rear bumper gap later

and maybe an 02 HD HOOD.

Thank you all for your time and help.
