I'm putting in a back up camera in my 07 tahoe. I know I can pull power from the the backup lights and the camera will come on when in reverse, but I have a gmx550 and have the option to turn the camera on anytime if I want. So, I need power to it when the ignition is on. Where should I pull power from to do this? the tailer harness? or something else in the hatch area. I'd like to not run a hot wire all the way up to the radio if I can avoid it.
