What's Your Go-To Product/Technique for Rear Hatch Jamb Cleanliness?

Y'all,

I'm in the habit of using the damp towels from drying after a wash to clean up the door jambs, but cleaning the rear hatch jamb (jambs if you count the area around the pop-out glass) is more troublesome at top.

Are there any products that have you found to work well in this area? I'm in the process of treating the exterior with a combo of Gtechniq CSL and EXOv5, but that stuff ain't cheap, so I'd like to reserve it for the exterior surfaces. Meguiar's Ultimate Quik Wax looks promising, but I don't know of anyone using it for jambs.

usually that area like door jamb's is caked in dirt and road grime, so i just use regular 409 and a towel. works great
it doesn't harm the paint or rubber. I guess if you wanted it to really shine afterwards you could use some spray wax, but years and years later mine looks perfectly fine.
I have used 409 like that since forever.....

YUP Any light duty cleaner will work fine. I bought mine used out of OK
6 years ago . All my jams etc were full of red dirt crap...
Took a while, but just worked on it with damp towels and mild cleaner
after car washes. Looks like new(ish) !

I typically hit mine with some detail spray. Someone gave me a bottle years ago of Adam’s detail spray but it’s pumpkin spice scented that I use for the jambs. Gives a nice smell for a couple days lol

Simple Green, some rags and a fresh water flush afterwards. I also pulled the appliques, weather strips and tail light housings off and cleaned behind those. They really collect a lot of crap behind them.
