My Mom was born in Grand Rapids..... She used to say to me: " If you are cold, you are not dressed right"......
Nah, we don't get cold. We aren't much different than them Badgers or Minnesotans. Lots of Michiganders in the lower peninsula start wearing shorts in early March. The Upper Peninsula is year-round for some! Ha.

I found my 2014 PPV in Arkansas rust free. Most of what I look at from TX and FL is sunburned and rough and as stated above lots of flood potential. That said there are no absolutes when hunting for vehicles. There is good and bad everywhere. Good luck with the search.

You are correct... here in Florida, there's little chance of rust, but ya gotta protect it from the hot sun !!
( Thank gosh, I have a garage )

Yeah, the sun does beat on the paint down here for sure. My 99 Silverado has started to get clearcoat failure and when I bought it from the original owner in 2008, he garaged it.

The other thing is that a lot of trucks this generation have been used as trucks (some work trucks) so they are really beat up, and most are going to be almost 200k, if not over.

But there are good survivors, mostly owned by older folks that take care of theirs vehicles and are just grocery shoppers and driven to Sunday church.

I saw this rare 2 tone recently and it had around 150k and I want to say it was like $4500. Great deal, in my opinion. I'm sure it's gone by now.
