What options do we have for a front locker?

First off I use my Tahoe mostly as a camping, overlanding, trail rig and have done a few trips with it to realize it desperately needs a front locker. The "virtual locker" electronic braking thing is a party trick and just enough for GM marketing to make up whimsical stories for why they didn't add a real physical front locker. The truck easily gets stuck in mild cross-ups. I am open to any and all options. Lastly, I do wish to retain normal winter driving in snow behaviors, so this kind of rules out automatic lockers like helical, detroits, lunchbox etc.

So what options do we have?

What year? I’m assuming based on your mention of electronics that’s it’s a new model?

Think about putting your vehicle info in your signature.

New model at4x/zr2 trucks have front lockers. If you have a newer model, could possibly adapt that in there.

Otherwise im sure you are screwed.

It's a 2017 Tahoe 4x4. But I read an article about why GM didn't offer a front e-locker on the 2024 Silverado HD ZR2 and a GM representative basically said it has electronic driving modes and traction control and basically software is free and an e-locker would add cost. And I think over the course of time I was thinking that GM had Stabilitrak and TC, Toyota had A-TRAC, Ford has their thing and that they were all pretty much the same. But after more research they are all quite different. And having a think about it, in 4 wheel low it turns off stabilitrak and traction control anyways so yeah, there actually are no electronic aids.

I like the idea of retrofitting a whole ZR2 front axle assembly in there but nobody makes parts for that yet.
