What do you guys think my Tahoe is worth?

I am thinking of selling my Tahoe but, wondering if it's not worth selling, maybe just keep it instead...
Here is my Build thread

2011 Tahoe with 250k miles trans rebuilt last year front end has new ball joints replaced rotors and pads recently and of course you guys have seen what else is in it.. Is it worth selling it and starting over or just keep it since it still runs fine. I just completed a 3700 mile round trip with it and it still runs great I averaged 15 MPG

If I sell, I will be looking to build out a 2wd van hopefully one that will get around 20mpg and be a little more comfortable walking around in it.

I have to admit it's still fun getting comments from people that I have a bad ass looking Tahoe... And having 4wd does come in handy sometime.. I am also wondering if swapping the 410 gears for 373s will pick up a couple more MPG...

Depends on which MpGs are more important to you.
If highway MpG is more important than city / urban MpG, then 3.73.
If city / urban MpG is more important than highway MpG, then 4.10.

Should be obvious that off-road MpG would be better with 4.10.
Remember when you said this?
Gear ratio needs to be changed. Stock gearing is very sluggish and the transmission shifts way too much at highway speeds.
You would almost think the brakes are on, but of course they are not.

Gas millage has gone from 18.5 MpG, down to 12.6 MpG
Average on my weekly commute 90/10 highway/city driving.
For whatever it's worth, having read the rest of your build thread,
don't bother wasting money stepping backwards to 3.73.
Given all the mods you've done that add aero drag, and all the extra weight it carries,
4.10.

Keep it! You'll never get what it's worth, especially what it's worth TO YOU. Unless you absolutely need the cash for something else, yeah, keep it. Third gen Tahoe's are the best of the bunch in my opinion. We have two gen 3's right now. I know at least one of them, my '08 4WD Z71 (260,000 miles), will stay with be to the end now. The Wife's '13 (also 4WD, not AWD) LTZ (140,000 miles)... it might go away. Most likely it won't, and just she'll get something newer in addition to it.

As for swapping gears, I wouldn't. You mentioned saving gas, so I assume you want to save on operating cost. Realistically, what little you'll save on gas will take a long to offset the cost of a gear swap. Especially if you plan to build a van and drive the Tahoe less.

NOOOOO!
DON'T SELL IT!

Your build and what you have done with it has inspired me to build mine!

I agree with what the others have said. You might get out of it what you put in, but now its in its own niche compared to other Hoe's on the market, and it might be a while before you find a buyer interested in that niche. I also agree with not swapping down gears, unless you hate driving in that range. Savings in fuel cost will take a while before its seen after investing $$$$ into the swap.

I have 3:42 in my rig and it feels anemic around town and the dirt. Highway is OK, but now I have a lot of aero drag and more weight, so I don't get near the mileage of what I did before I started modifying my rig. I am looking to either upgrade to 3:73 with my 6L80, or maybe swap in a 10-speed and keep the 3:42 (need more data on this last thought to see if it is worth it)

Anyway...

Stay the faith, brutha!

1stly, no guarantee that going down from 4.10 to 3.73 will improve MpG; depends on how it's driven.
2ndly, even if MpG improves, the 4L60E will not last as long with 3.73 as it will with 4.10,
so any MpG savings just goes into rebuilding the 4L60E sooner.

I really don't need to sell it, I was just thinking out-loud so far. You guys are right the gear swap would take forever to recoup the cost my guess is maybe 2 mpg improvement... And when I did the math it most likely will never pay for the swap..

It's never possible to get anywhere near what you have into a build like this... Although the company I used to work for paid for most of the conversion cost. The fun factor, I have certainly gotten that part of it back.

This thing has been paid off for at least 8 years so, I have saved a lot of car payments even when I deduct the cost of rebuilding the trans and replacing parts.. I have three kids who will fight over it when I am gone, I wonder who will win... lol

Thanks for ALL the comments. You guys are great. I guess you guys answered this for me "Keep it" I guess it's time to do more mods... lol

Hmmm Solar built into a custom roof rack, integrate tire carrier into bumper and a new sound system with a bigger GPS screen..

And start a van build after I move to Louisiana....

Keep it, you like the vehicle and have put a lot into it already.
I plan on driving mine until the wheels fall off.
Same with the 2002 Nissan Altima 3.5 I own.
Bought it new and it has 151k miles on it now and runs perfect.
But, I may need to sell it because it is not a snow car and I live in WY now.
