Threw a 19 bench seat into the back of my 03 Tahoe....bolted right in. Even the seat belts hook up.
My dog just can't get comfortable in the captains chairs.
And easier to just throw sh*t back there and not have it end up on the floor.

Damn. They don’t come in a matching color though do they? I’d love to have new bench in my 02 Denali but I’m not willing to have a black seat in a pewter interior.

I remember seeing someone on the forum who swapped their wiper arms for some earlier ones, since ours don’t stay in the held up position, while cleaning the windshield etc.. I seem to recall ‘99-‘02 wiper arms stay up. Can anyone confirm? Thinking about doing this since I need to paint them anyway.

What would the advantage of that be?

There is an interesting story with the wipers. Initially one could fix them in the "UP" position, but GM started to receive waranty claims that the wiper arm scratches the paint on the hood, since it very close indeed. So, in their infinite wisdom, instead of reshaping the arm (like it is on GMT900, for example), they decided to slightly modify it so you basically can't lift it up. I believe in the later production time they switched back to the older version.
Anyway, I went to a local slavage yard and found the ones that could fix in the upper position and installed them. I also picked TWO driver side arms, instead of 1 driver & 1 passenger. The difference is that driver side has 2 nozzles to spary washer fluid, and the PASS has only 1.

Also, as far as I am aware, there are 3 designs of wiper arm:
1. You couldn't even lift if more than a couple of inches from the glass.
2. You could lift it vertically, but it wouldn't stay in that postion.
3. You could lift it up and it would stay in UP position.

Thanks man! This is great info! I’ll have to look closely, to see which ones I have. Might just grind off the hump if I have that type. Although, I definitely don’t want anything running into the paint..!

Speaking of which, @Sam Harris, are you ready for a foot or two of snow this weekend? I think I am....
Looking forward to it! I got a few days with her clean... time to get dirty again. Lol. I kinda hope we get several feet, like they’re saying may happen. Seems we won’t really know a thing until late tomorrow. The blizzard of ‘03 was a good time..! We’re set on provisions for some time. [emoji106][emoji16]

Same here.

About the wiper arms, when you buy them new there are no splines in the mounting hole. Apparently the first time you install them, the motor gear post or whatever it's called "cuts" the grooves into the arm.

Whaaa..? I thought they were metal.? [emoji3166] I’ll have to pull them off to paint and have a look. I thought pretty much all of them were metal splines and a metal gear in the arm..?

Interesting. My on my GMT400 that was not the case.

I think Chase did this with his wipers.
I finally washed the exterior. I did a quick one as it's supposed to rain Saturday. It's becoming a real 20 footer the older it's getting.
