3 Engines available for the 2007 Tahoe which are LY2, LY5 and LMG. Since LY2's are for the 4.8L 2wd, you have one of the other options. Regardless, the only tranny std for 2007 in the 4L60-E and the only difference is the final drive ratio is different between the 4.8 and 5.3.
Vette servo will fit your tranny unless it was a special request done at time of purchase which then you would have to look at the tranny ID. Thats located at the rear by the pan. If the 4th character is a "D" then you have a 4L60-E. Good to go.

Decided I'm not putting the corvette servo in. Took it to a transmission shop and they explained with my truck having 205,000 miles on it, I would be taking a risk of tearing something else up since most things are already pretty worn. He explained just waiting until it goes out and rebuild it stronger. I'm not racing it, so what the heck, I'll wait. He did explain there's a drastic change in shifting when it's replaced, but not worth it if I want to keep my trans for a little longer. I'm still getting it tuned by BB next week and just replaced my OEM muffler with the 12589 magnaflow and I'm a happy camper. With the CAI, upgraded ****, and res delete, I think I will be satisfied after the tune. Thanks for your help..

Brother, I had the servo put on my 07 tahoe a couple weeks ago. It was not that drastic of a change. A change yes, bit not crazy......It is my opinion that it is worth it! Plus $80 bucks to install and its better for your tranny...hell bro then wait for it to go out. Just my opinion

Mine didn't have a drastic change in shifting, just seems to shift like it should have all along. I have 140,000 miles on my rig. I do like the 1-2 shift way better, makes take offs much better. That tranny shop probably just didn't want to do it or else they didn't know what they were talking about.

The guys will be able to get you a better idea of the state that your transmission is in when they are tuning your vehicle. Mention to them that you were considering it as an install, and they will let you know if it would be worth while for your vehicle based on their data they see.

The Vette servo is not a bad mod at all, and if you wanted to go a step further, I would recommend the Trans Go HDII kit along with it. The servo is an easy install, however, many transmission shops are not aware really of what it is or does. It is something you can do in your own driveway if you are mechanically inclined.

Agree with the 2 comments above. They scared you into believing that a servo would wreck your tranny. They're right about them not wanting to mess with it. They make their money on rebuilds not parts installation. GM engineered the stock servo to accommodate all types of consumer drivers. They kept the shift points relaxed and under performed to make it feel like there isn't a shift at all. It's been said by GM mechanics that adding a performance servo actually saves the tranny due to it holding shifts longer and reducing slippage. Think you've been talked out of a good mod that makes driving a recliner with wheels more fun. Let me know if you change your mind.

Just let the guys know you are wanting to install. If you plan on installing soon, they will set up the pressures for it. Otherwise, you can update your tune down the road.

The CAI is pretty inexpensive considering other engine mods. I'd recommend buy it and the K&N or like filter- throw it on a credit card if needed.

Then setup your BB tune. Their cs is amazing and they will always help you out if there ever an issue.

I just wouldn't overthink it/ everyone here has given the thumbs up and I'm included. I was very picky and researched the shit out of doing it. At the end of the day it is to date the best bang for the buck I've done to my ride!

Got my BB tune today and I'm a happy camper. The BB guys are awesome. They are very knowledgable and experts when it comes to tuning. Jarrad pushed out the imperfections as far as engine firing and transmission shifting. Disabled the AFM and removed the speed governor. They also calibrated the speedometer because it was off from upgrading my wheels and tires to a bigger size. As far as performance, you notice a difference when the pedal is to the metal. Overall, I'm satisfied and recommend everyone to do a tune.
