Anyone else have factory 22's and a vibration that you can drive through at about 77 mph? Mine has been progressively getting worse leading up to the 3500 miles we are currently at.
I own a repair shop and have a brand new Hunter tire balancer. I decided to rotate and balance my tires today (myself) and just for fun I checked them prior to pulling weights and starting from scratch.
At a minimum, they were off by 3 oz. 3 of the 4 wheels were counter balanced from the factory.
I would have thought the tire/wheel process was automated but by looking at the cuts/locations of the wheel weights I have to wonder if Joe Billy Bob wasn't in charge of balancing our tires.
Anyhow - all good now. Something everyone may look into = a proper tire balance. FWIW, tires/wheels that require the stick on wheel weights are quite the PITA to get perfect. They require whoever is doing the job to actually give a crap, pay attention, clean and properly prepare the wheel before just sticking the weight on and letting it fly off as soon as you get up to 35 mph when you pull out of the parking lot!
