Should the protective rubber on the ball joint be more ballooned out?
When I squeeze it, should grease be *********** out? :derp:

So I'm guessing the only solution is to change it if there isn't enough grease since there's no grease nipple.

not at all, I was just curious. I'm gonna be changing out the two front hubs and disks, so I thought I should install the ball joints while I was there. No sense on changing them if they're still good.

If they both look like that then they are more than likely still good. Maybe someone else with a NNBS can confirm.

I would replace if you are gonna pop them if not let them be. shen you pop them they might rip the boot or jist spin around when you tighten. My lower ball joints for my civic cost $20 for both

SW CT,
If grease is coming out then the boot is more than likely torn and since GM thought it was a great idea to put non-serviceable ball joint in the uca's your only option is to replace. Good luck finding just the balljoint as they are pressed into the uca and are typically sold as the entire unit...balljoint and uca together.

Yeah sucks they didn't put a zerk on there. The NBS has 11 zerk fittings which helps maintain equipment.
