Has anyone done this? Is it plug and play or do you have to do lots of wiring to fit it..

Because LTZs have better headlights.why do you wanna do that???
Very interested in seeing if these worked for you.
they arent the same. they look the same from outside. The LT and LTZ have the same headlights. It's just the BCM is programed differently for the LTZ to have only the LEDs to be the only DRL while the LT uses both the low and strip. This is probably due to the LTZ having HID's and you wouldn't want them on for DRL's all day.
My buddy is a tech for GM and he's going to be trying to load up the LTZ light protocol into my LT BCM and see if we can get the DRL's to function as the LTZ's do.
The led strip is a completely different color on the LTZ. The LTZ has HID headlights, the LT does not.

Can you show pics of your lights? The LT OEM headlights are a drag, but this seems like it would be a brutally expensive way to address the issue.
I just dropped a set of Sylvania Silverstar zXe bulbs into mine. $40 and 20 minutes, most of which time is spent dealing with the air filter cover. Frankly, the improvement is pronounced enough to make the LT headlights no longer an issue. People tell me these bulbs don't last more than 18 months on average, but it's such an easy and inexpensive solution that I'd recommend you at least try it before you go crazy.
Even then, there are LED headlamp options and HID conversion kits that would be far less expensive than buying the actual LTZ headlight assembly.
Sure. I'll wait until I can get good shots at twilight or something and post them back. Can you show pics of your lights?
Sounds good. Will you be replacing your stock fogs with the zxe as well?Sure. I'll wait until I can get good shots at twilight or something and post them back.
Maybe. No rush there.Sounds good. Will you be replacing your stock fogs with the zxe as well?
I posted a few shots of my LT with the HxE lamps in this thread. Can you show pics of your lights?
I'm assuming the DRLs are noticeably brighter. How do the low beams compare being they're now HID? Have any before and after shots?I did install the LTZ headlights on my LT but i made it work as LT couldnt make them work as LTZ, a friend told me that I need the module for the LTZ to change the daylight
