Anyone having kick back issues from a dealership saying no on the ability to trade in a SUV with a 6.2L 2021 thru 2024? I have order on a new Yukon and I will be wanting to trade in my current Yukon, just seeing if I should be prepared for issues or depreciated value form the rumored issues.
I also understand nothing is official on the recall until the effected ones receive a letter in the mail, but if a dealership still has a hold sale on the potential ones this could affect my ability to trade into a certified dealer.

I submitted my vehicle details yesterday to Carvana out of curiosity. For reference my Suburban is listed in the 6.2 L engine oil change and/or engine change recall. Odometer currently at 58000 miles with 10000 miles or so towing a camper. Zero engine issues using 0w20 and changing oil when oil life monitor was between 0-10% depending on when I had time to change oil.

I was working a trade for my 2024 6.2 hc for a 25 3.0 last week. I thought we were getting close when I was informed they’re not interested.
Just did a Carvana sell quote and it is off 10k from where I was going to close on the diesel until they killed it. I also was working a deal on a rivian trade anf that is no better than the carvana purchase. Before I purchased my hc last summer I was really thinking rivian but did hc because of the great luck I had with my 2002 tahoe, that was my mistake. I hate flushing 20k in toilet. Now it’s kind of to the point of ride it out and see what happens. Still a fun size truck but gm you suck.

If you post the miles, year, and trim i can get you the auction wholesale price. The price they are actually selling for.

Everyone always praises carvana but they have never given me top dollar even for extremely in demand vehicles. I always check to see how full of it they are. Same with carmax.

Usually the best deal is with the company who has the vehicle you are trying to buy especially when combined with tax incentives.

Carmax had a very good price response but nowhere to sell outright like carvana.

I submitted my information to Carmax last night also but they wanted me to submit photos and I was too lazy to walk outside and take them.

Assuming suburban ? Today's average 74,800 (71,700-77,900) last noted transaction 73,200 5/8

Tahoe is: 68,600 (67,200-70,100) last noted transaction 70,000 5/12

The sky isn't falling. But I'd definitely use the recall as an excuse to low ball you then make a quick 10 grand selling wholesale lol.

ugh.. walking into any GM dealer right now asking to trade your L87 is equivalent to walking into a $tr1p club on Saturday night with a big ole wooden sign around your neck that says “I’M BROKE”.. you’re going to get *zero* play.

Best bet is carmax and hope that they haven’t put a flag in all the sales person’s computers that says DO NOT BUY when they punch in your VIN. Or perhaps even Carvana since they dgaf about what they buy or sell to people.

edit: now I’ve seen people say far worse things on here the censorship is ridiculous
