+1. I have a CVC model BU60FHD in my 2012 which I use for towing. It's a factory unit that's been properly remanufactured with a billet housing and stronger lockup clutch. It's designed for heavy duty service and CVC probably remanufactures more torque converters than anyone else. It came recommended to me by my local indy transmission shop. I have about 20K on it now and it's been terrific.

So with the Circle D unit did they recommend the stall or was it set for the 2 disc version?

for the two-disk version they didn't have any stall selections.
They also didn't recommend going for a smaller converter due to the weight of the vehicle, and the fact that I planned to tow my boat up a steep canyon road made it even worse.

For my use I'm happy with the stall selection.

It has been fully replaced by the triple disk one.
That has a selection of different stalls to work with, but not many options.

What I understood, due to the size of the converter it relays to how much load it can handle.
+ the heat thing, more volume = better.
Also due to the larger size of the body, it can't do higher stalls.
