I changed my throttle body sensor today and then turned the key on and pushed the gas pedal to wipe down the inside of the throttle body but the door wouldn’t open. I gently pushed it open but was pretty hard to open but it finally kind of popped open. I didn’t spray anything inside just wiped it down. Put it all back together and now I’m getting a reduced power and running very rough. I tried for it to relearn but it won’t do anything. It’s hardly running now. Disconnected the battery and tried it all over again and still nothing. It was actually running great before I started. 2001 Yukon XL

Just the throttle sensor. I’ve cleaned it before but the door always opened when I pressed the gas pedal. This time it wouldn’t open. I may have damaged that part that opens it now? I may just order a whole new throttle body assembly complete but they are expensive

I would open it up and see what happened inside, not sure why you are pressing the gas pedal the cable lever is right there with the cable on it and spring retention.

Yea, it is cable actuated instead of "drive by wire" design. Time to go back and check your work. By "throttle body sensor" do you mean the TPS- "Throttle Position Sensor"?
