Well one of my rims has a bit of chrome chipping off and its really starting to bother me,so I'm thinking bout getting them painted.

99.9% of non chrome/aluminum wheels on the road are painted (not powdercoat). Hell most aluminum wheels are even clearcoated (paint as well). Powdercoat on wheels is un-necessary. If the factory doesn't feel obligated to do it neither should you. It's nice on off-road stuff but not necessary in street applications.
And Kmel is right about paint flaking where it meets the chrome on a one piece wheel, but that issue is not an issue on multi-piece wheels.
Edgar, powdercoat does not look better than paint doen right, especially when its colored and not black/white.

Gonna have to differ to an extent. When I ordered my 3pc wheels they said the barrels will be powdered and centers will be painted.
The custom wheel shops down here in South FL powdercoat ALL their barrels, but paint the centers. Maybe it's just a south FL trend, I dunno.
Ok and what do you guys think about the chrome accent ride, yay or nay?
